Photography is an art practice rich in history and theory, with a range of processes and approaches. From digital to the darkroom, photography encompasses so much more than the camera; and sometimes, it doesn't even involve a camera at all.

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. The minimum academic requirement for admission to Emily Carr University undergraduate programs is graduation from grade 12 secondary school, with five grade 12 subjects, including English Studies 12 with a minimum grade of 'C', two other grade 12 academic courses and two grade 12 elective courses. The minimum overall grade point average required for admission is 2.5 or C+ or 67%. All elective courses must be grade 12 and can be Ministry Approved, Board Approved or Locally Developed.
