The Nursing Access program will be implementing revised curriculum as the program is under review.
The Access Year is for students who would like to work in the health field, but do not meet the requirements for admission to the health program. Program courses include math, science, English and an introduction to health. Each of the courses include relevant health related materials. Upon successful completion of the Access Year students may apply to register in the Nursing program, or other health programs. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Required: Grade 10 or ABE English 140 and Math 120. Mature applicants lacking the necessary entrance requirements may be admitted to the program if there is evidence of their ability to complete the program. The Aurora College placement test may be administered to determine the applicant’s academic level. Applicants must submit high school transcripts, college transcripts or the results of the placement package assessment. |
