Gain a flexible set of knowledge and skills that positions you for employment in industrial settings as well as careers in business and information technology. Through theory, lab exercises, and hands-on projects such as construction of a power supply using electronic test equipment, fabrication equipment, and soldering you will learn the fundamentals of electronic and electrical components, and the devices and circuits used in industrial settings. A work practicum placement gives you an opportunity to apply what you've learned and add to your skill-set through a real-world work experience and participation in MITT's Bridging to Work workshops gives you a solid foundation in the employability and essential skills employers demand. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Manitoba high school diploma (or expected completion within 45 days of the program start date), or equivalent, including:
- Grade 12 Math (40S) with a grade of 50 per cent or higher, or equivalent.
- Grade 12 English Language Arts (40S) with a grade of 50 per cent or higher, or equivalent.
