The Health Careers Access program is designed to provide Inuit students with the opportunity to academically prepare for study in the health-care field. Topics covered include chemistry, biology, math and English with a focus on health-care issues. Students will be introduced to the philosophies and roles of various health-care professions with the aim of helping students determine their personal suitability for a career choice. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Applicants to this program must meet the following criteria: be 18 years of age or older, have ROA in the Science and Technology program or equivalent, have Grade 10 with ABE English 130 and Math 130 or equivalent assessment rating, pass a criminal records check by the RCMP, and have current immunization status. |
