Following the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1001 Firefighter I & II and NFPA 1072 standard, this program blends theory, lab practice, and field experience. Students will be expected to perform fire related duties at a considerable height or in very confined spaces in preparation for entry into the firefighting profession. Prepare yourself for an exciting career as a professional firefighter, or in related employment.

Application Notes : | The program requires that all prospective students attend a mandatory orientation session, which reviews admissions requirements, program design, courses related to job performance, common requirements for fire department selection, and job performance requirements. At the mandatory orientation session, students will be required to participate in a series of tests designed to measure/illustrate their academic, mental and physical ability. Testing is not used for screening purposes for the school year, but will demonstrate to students the strict requirements and expectations of a firefighter's duties. |
