Medical Office Assistants are an important part of the health care team with expanding job responsibilities. As a medical office assistant, you are often responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, filing records, and purchasing supplies and equipment. Other duties may include patient admissions, assisting with examinations, accounting and insurance billing. You will use computers to enter and access important patient information on a daily basis. Topics included in the program are Microsoft Office Applications; Accounting using both Simply Accounting and Quickbooks; Anatomy, Physiology and Terminology; Medical Administration; Medical Office Assistant Clinical and more. |

High School Graduation Diploma or Mature Student Status (18 years of age and academic achievement assessment passed). Passing score on the triOS entrance assessment. Demonstrated fluency in English (oral and written). Admissions Interview to determine suitability for a career as a Medical Office Assistant.
