The M.T.S. is designed as a two year programme that should be considered the first step towards equipping individuals with undergraduate degrees who wish to pursue a calling in the academic realm. As such, the MTS focuses on the classical subjects of theology.

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Graduation from a recognized college with a B.A. or B.Sc. degree is required to qualify for admission to a M.Div. or M.T.S. degree or a Certificate of Theological Studies. Students whose degree has included biblical studies must have at least 30 credit hours in the humanities and/or science. Those deficient in such credits can make them up with courses from the Seminary and/or from another recognized institution such as the University of Toronto or University of Waterloo, while studying for the Graduate Degree. |
Additional Admission Requirements: | Prospective students are required to submit signed application forms which include giving evidence of the following qualifications: conversion. a general knowledge of the Word of God and sufficient experience in Christian work to indicate that the applicant has some endowments for such work, and that already he or she has endeavoured to exercise these gifts in a local church. On the application form, the name, address and phone number of the following four referees must be given: the pastor of the church of which the applicant is a member, and two Christians, testifying to character and ability. Reference forms will be sent to them by the Seminary and should be returned by the referees directly to the Seminary Registrar. The fourth is the applicant’s present/recent employer. The employer will be asked for a standard employment reference letter. |
