The Pharmacy Technician plays an important role in the operation of the hospital and community pharmacy.The pharmacy technician dispenses and compounds prescriptions and sterile product preparation while maintaining staff and customer/patient relations.
West Coast College was the first private institution in British Columbia to both offer the Pharmacy Technician program and have students accepted for practicum's and employment in hospitals throughout the Lower Mainland. Since the inception of this program in 1993 we have had hundreds of successfully employed graduates. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Applicants must have completed high school or a GED, or be at least 19 years of age. A pre-admission interview and English and math assessment are also required. Applicants must satisfactorily complete a criminal records search. Proof of a negative TB test is required. |
