The Faculty offers an undergraduate dental program consisting of 4 years of professional study leading to the degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D). Instruction in the basic health sciences is provided by the appropriate science departments under the joint administration of the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry. The Doctor of Dental Medicine degree program is designed to prepare students to practice their chosen profession with a high degree of technical skill. The program is based on a sound knowledge of the related biological sciences, and an awareness of the interaction of the dentist as a health professional in the community. |

Three complete academic years (90 credits) at a recognized faculty at the University of British Columbia, or its equivalent, with minimum overall average of 70%. Minimum credits: 6 of first-year English, 6 of first-year Biology, 6 of first-year Chemistry, 6 of second-year Organic Chemistry, 3 of second-year Biochemistry and 3 of third-year Biochemistry. |
