Description:

Architectural Science is a bridge between design theory and building technology. The purpose of this degree program is to develop graduates with highly relevant knowledge and skills in a way that emphasizes holistic and critical thinking at the intersection between living systems, culture and technology, so that our students emerge as industry-ready participants in the real world of sustainable thinking and building.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
  •  Grade12 English 
English: two years of education in English in an English-speaking country with one of the following: English Studies 12 (67%) or English First Peoples 12 (67%) or Other acceptable BC and Yukon courses or 3.0 credits of post-secondary English, humanities or social sciences (67%) from a recognized institution
Additional Admission Requirements:
  • Portfolio
Applicants will be required to submit a portfolio that includes examples of varied work. Pieces are to be student projects from former education or industry-related work and should demonstrate a cross section of skills. Examples of design-related work such as photography, fashion, art work, sculpture, graphics, painting, etc. that demonstrate highly-developed design skills can be included in the portfolio.
