All returning students are required to pay their regular student fees ($164) in full by June 7, 2017 before registering for their courses. New students are required to pay the $164 in full by June 30, 2017 before they register. Payments may be made in full before registration by cash, debit card, Visa, MasterCard, money order or cheque. Post dated cheques will not be accepted. Any remaining fees (non-resident of Quebec, convocation fees, part time in-program fees, etc…) will be assessed by August 22 and due by September 8, 2017. Late payment fees of $25.00 will be applied to overdue accounts.

Description:

Look at media differently, be exposed to the best films, television and media works in history from all over the world and learn what makes a film or media project great. Be equipped to explain a film’s impact from emotional and critical perspectives. Assess and discuss a range of media practices and productions including social media, news media, new media, sound art and augmented reality. Learn how to communicate effectively in writing and using sound and image as you undertake your own journalistic, film, sound, and multimedia productions. In addition, you will also make your own films and media. By the end of your Cinema l Communications Profile studies, you will have a solid foundation in film and communication studies.


Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants must have a Diploma of Secondary Studies (DES) or equivalent, including Secondary V Language of Instruction, Secondary V Second Language, Secondary IV Science, Secondary IV Mathematics, and Secondary IV History. Students with a DES missing any of the above subjects may be admitted, space permitting, but may be required to complete remedial courses.
