Millar's program is unique in its emphasis on the integration of the academic and practical, of classroom study and real life ministry. Thus, you will alternate one week of campus instruction with three weeks of supervised ministry for the academic year.
Opportunities for ministry are diverse. Internships may be completed in local churches and parachurch organizations. Internships have been completed as assistant pastors, youth pastors, camp directors and counsellors. Students have ministered to adults, young people and children. In the 2004/2005 school year, Millar sent out its first fourth-year student to do their internship overseas. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. The educational requirement for acceptance at Millar is a Grade 12 high school diploma. Students who are 20 years or older but who do not have a high school diploma must provide a successful GED examination result in order to qualify for entrance. Applicants who are home study students and have not received an official diploma must produce an official transcript or its equivalent indicating the successful completion of a high school education. |
