The MA Humanities program fosters cross-disciplinary social and cultural analysis and emphasizes intellectual growth, breadth of awareness, moral sensitivity, and balanced judgment.
It prepares students for admission to Ph.D. programs, professional programs such as law, education and librarianship, and gives educators advanced training in English, History and Philosophy. The program equips others for more effective professional work in areas such as research, writing, management, business and government contexts. |

B.A. (Honours) - or equivalent - in English, history or philosophy, a four year B.A. degree with a major in one of the major disciplines (at least 24 semester hours), a B.Ed. and a major in one of the disciplines or concentrations/minors in at least two of the disciplines, and a strong B.A. program in diverse Humanities disciplines.
