The following Master's options are available: MAg (course-based), MEng (course-based), MSc (course-based), and MSc (thesis-based). The MAg is a two year course-based program designed for agricultural professionals in government, industry, or private practice. The MEng is a two year course-based program in agricultural, environmental and food engineering designed for agricultural professionals in government, industry, or private practice (students must hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree to be eligible for admission to this program). The MSc is a two year course-based program designed for agricultural professionals in government, industry or private practice; the thesis-based MSc program is for students wishing to specialize and develop skills in research and scientific communication - it prepares students for further advanced training or for middle management positions in government or industry. |

The Department's minimum admission requirements for an MSc, MAg, or MEng degree are an undergraduate degree with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.3 in the last two years of study at the University of Alberta, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. |

We strongly recommend obtaining supervision prior to applying online, as without a supervisor, your application cannot move forward.
