The Master of Science degree is a research-intensive program, usually consisting of 18 units of course weight in graduate courses, a thesis proposal course, and a thesis. Twelve of the 18 units of course weight must be from ECE courses, while the remaining six units should be taken outside of the department. A minimum period of residence for the MSc program is full-time attendance during two consecutive four-month terms. A period of two years is typically required to complete the degree.
