Description:

The Interdisciplinary Master’s program in Disability Studies examines the social – rather than the physical or psychological – determinants of the experience of disability, shifting the emphasis from a medical, prevention and treatment model to a social, cultural and political one.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    A four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized college or university with a minimum 3.0 average in the last 60 credit hours of study.
    Please note: Students who wish to pursue the Master of Science in Disability Studies must hold a Bachelor of Science degree.
