The post-graduate program is designed to provide extensive knowledge in developing Internet-powered information technology systems. The course covers C++, Java, VB, and JDeveloper for front-end and Oracle/MS SQL Server for back-end. This program also covers developing solutions to Internet-based information technology systems using XML, ASP, HTML, Flash, and Dreamweaver. In addition to the diploma, this program provides knowledge required for industry certification: Oracle certification solution developer, Microsoft certified solution developer, and Sun certified Java developer.
The program covers the following topics: fundamentals of database design, Windows 2000 operating system; Unix operating system; Internet fundamentals; designing Web sites with HTML; designing Web pages using DreamWeaver; creating multimedia animated Web sites using Flash, Photoshop, and Fireworks; installation and configuration of Web Server; programming fundamentals; object analysis and design using UML; Java programming; introduction to Oracle SQL, PL/SQL; implementing JavaScript in Web sites; developing interactive Web pages using ASP; developing database application with Java (JDeveloper); designing and implementing desktop applications with VB; designing and implementing distributed applications with VB; Web-enabled application with server-side Java (EJB); creating Web sites with XML; and programming in C++. |
