We focus on the management skills, rather than a policy orientation, with an emphasis on strategic planning, financial management, leadership, communication and negotiation. You will have the knowledge, skills and abilities you’ll need to enter the public administration field as a beginning practitioner.

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Many first-year Business courses require Math as a prerequisite (a “C” in Principles of Math 11, or Pre-calculus 11, or Foundations of Math 11, or Applications of Math 12, or MATH 137, or MATH 073; or “C+” in MATH 135 or MATH 072). Students may enter the program without Math but please note students must complete one of the Math courses listed above or successfully complete Camosun’s Math assessment in or before their first semester of study.
