Our Professional Esthetician program is eight months in length. Six out of the eight months are situated in the classroom and practical labs. Afterwards, the student goes offsite to complete a two-month internship with one of our registered salon partners. During the internship, the student is involved in all aspects of salon operations and management, as well as esthetic services. The result of this type of education is a fully-trained, job-ready, and qualified professional esthetician who is capable of working as a beautician, or salon owner, or both!
The 1,080-hour program includes bacteriology; sterilization, disinfection, and safety in the salon; cells, anatomy, and physiology; physiology and histology of the skin; disorders of the skin and special esthetic procedures; ingredient and product analysis; nutrition and health of the skin; client preparation and draping; cleansing the skin; techniques for professional massage; facial treatments with the aid of machines; removing unwanted hair; male skin care and grooming; colour theory; the salon business; and selling products and services. |
