This postgraduate program provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to design and build a data warehouse using leading North American products. The program consists of nine courses; you will gain practical hands-on experience working with Oracle, SQL Server, Erwin, Cognos Impromptu, Transformer and PowerPlay, Crystal Report and Crystal Enterprise, Informatica and SAS.
Real-world experiences and co-op practice are mixed with innovative teaching methods to ensure that you graduate with a comprehensive knowledge of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence. These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Applicants require a university degree or college diploma in a computer-related field. Basic knowledge of one Relational Database (such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Sybase etc.) is helpful and a working knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL at the beginning level is presumed.
