Through the use of classroom, laboratory and supervised field placements in home care and licensed nursing homes, the Continuing Care Assistant program will educate and equip you with the necessary tools and skills to deliver respectful client-focused care to the elderly, persons with disabilities, or those recovering from illnesses or injuries and their families. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Must have Grade 12, GED or mature student status; Police check indicating the absence of a criminal record; Must meet the physical requirements of the job; Pre-Entrance Immunization Report indicating student is fit to undertake the program/practical, has up-to-date immunization, and is free of communicable diseases. |
