Politics have implications for almost every aspect of daily life, which is why the field of Political Science is so essential to the Social Sciences. Political Science is the scientific study of how societies organize and govern themselves with an emphasis on power and authority, citizenship and government, and justice and legitimacy. Students in Political Science can take classes within the areas of Canadian Politics, Political Theory, Comparative Politics, International Relations, and Public Policy.
