Description:

This program is offered as a combined major. Develop written and spoken competence in Italian and discover the rich and vast world of Italian culture. A variety of language courses are offered from beginner to advanced, including translation theory and practice, Italian regionalism, and language teaching.

We also offer courses in Italian literature, culture, cinema, art, and architecture (some in English). You’ll be exposed to great writers, artists, and filmmakers such as Dante, Petrarch, Machiavelli, Pirandello, Eco, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Fellini, and Bertolucci.
