DieTrac Technical Institute offers a 43-week entry level training program and a 42-week advanced level training program in Heavy Equipment Service Technician. Throughout your program, you will study the overhaul, maintenance and repair of heavy equipment. Upon completion, you will have a comprehensive background in mechanical studies, preventative maintenance, safe shop practices, and equipment management systems.
Trade theory includes the study of fundamental principles of general shop practice safety procedures, hand tools, power tools, fastening devices and fitting, engine terminology and basic knowledge, lubrication, cooling systems fuel systems, electrical systems, running gears and brakes, first aid and safety instruction. |
