This two-level program is intended to prepare beginner-level English second language students to enter the General Arts and Science - English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program. Students build English language skills through reading, writing, grammar, listening and speaking practice.
Class sizes provide an interactive and dynamic classroom experience. Students are part of a rich international and cross-cultural environment created by classmates from a wide-range of language, work and educational backgrounds.
Graduates of the program receive an Algonquin College Certificate and meet the language requirements to enter the EAP program at Algonquin College. |

Minimum 18 years of age
All applicants must complete a placement test through the Test Centre, and will be required to pay the current fee of $50 (subject to change).
Applicants who have previously obtained scores on standardized tests (IELTS, TOEFL, or CAEL) may not be required to take the placement test. |
