Begin a career in the growing and in-demand pharmacy industry with CDI College’s Pharmacy Technician diploma. This comprehensive program teaches students the fundamental skills and knowledge required for a successful career as a Pharmacy Technician. Students receive hands-on experience in the areas of dispensing, compounding, mathematics, computer processing and data entry, drug/body interaction, and drug delivery systems among others. Additionally, students practice their customer service skills and learn about different pharmaceutical environments such as retail, hospital, and small business. By developing real-world skills in conflict management and communications, graduates will have a greater understanding of the dynamic duties and skill sets needed for a career as a Pharmacy Technician. CDI College is proud of our exceptional faculty, all with professional experience and expertise in the pharmaceutical field of study. Students complete a practicum in a community pharmacy, where they will gain practical work experience. The Pharmacy Technician program also includes career development sessions to assist with interviewing skills, job searching, and career counselling. Graduates of this program will be eligible to apply to sit the certification examination offered by the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) and register with the British Columbia College of Pharmacists. |
