In 1997, in cooperation with the Prince Edward Island School of Radiography, the University of Prince Edward Island and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in Charlottetown entered an articulation agreement to enable the offering by the University of a Bachelor of Applied Science in Radiography.
Students admitted to the Radiography program are subject to many of UPEI's Academic Regulations except as indicated in the student handbook available online. These exceptions are for QEH-designated courses only, and can be viewed in our online handbook.

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. The admission requirements are a minimum of three years full-time, consecutive, equivalent work experience with a diploma in radiography from an accredited institution. Completing an additional 60 semester hours (20 courses) at UPEI will fulfill the degree requirements. Applicant must be a member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists. Students who have courses equivalent to any of the prescribed courses will be required to substitute other courses in place of these. In such cases, students must consult with the Dean of Science who will make the appropriate decisions. High School applicants must apply to a Bachelor of Science with a Major to complete the required prerequisite courses. An applicant is eligible to apply to the program once they are at least enrolled in all of the prerequisite courses.
