MFA in Film offers streams in Screenwriting and Production. In the MFA in Production, you'll embark on a two-year program, taking courses with our faculty of award-winning filmmakers and completing a thesis film or digital work. You'll have access to extensive production facilities and computing equipment. In Canada's only dedicated MFA in Screenwriting, you'll receive training from renowned faculty in all aspects of writing for the screen, including television and cinema. During first term, you may take courses in all three streams: Production, Screenwriting, Cinema & Media Studies. |

Applicants are required to have an honours degree or equivalent with a minimum 'B' average in film/video or a related discipline. Professional experience/achievements can be also considered. Use your Statement of Interest to address any discrepancies or exceptions. We can make exceptions for candidates who demonstrate equivalency in terms of the success of their achievements outside the academy. |
