The aim of the Social Science program is to initiate students in many different disciplines, often those that they have never studied before. The purpose is to guide them toward a university program that will suit their needs and interests. The specific aims of the program are as follows: to develop intellectual rigor necessary for higher studies; to learn to use social science methodologies, such as reasoning, hypothesis-deduction, rational arguments, and the scientific method; and to learn to correctly interpret information in the news, general articles, and statistics seen on a daily basis. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Students must have obtained a Secondary School Diploma or a Secondary School Vocational Diploma. |
