Graduate students in this Department may concentrate on any of the periods or any particular aspect of the history of German literature and thought. Interested and gifted students may continue with doctoral studies under the supervision of Dalhousie Faculty at the University of Heidelberg. The language of instruction is German. |

Candidates for admission must hold at least a four-year Bachelor's Degree with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (B average) in the last 60 credit hours from a university of recognized standing. Applicants are also required to demonstrate superior knowledge in the German language, either through a degree in German or related field. |
