The Nursing program is thirty-two (32) months in length (equivalent of four academic years). Each year of study will be 10 months long, followed by a senior practicum of 450 hours.
Following successful completion of the program, graduates will receive a Bachelor of Nursing (BN) degree from Red River College (RRC) and will be eligible to write the Canadian Nurse Registration Exam (CRNE). Successful completion of this national exam entitles graduates to become members of the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) and use the designation Registered Nurse (RN). |

Due to high demand, this program is open to Manitoba residents only.
Manitoba Grade 12 including one credit in each of English 40S, Math 40S, and Science 40S with a minimum of 70% in each subject. English Transactional Focus 40S and English Language and Technical Communication 40S are recommended. University 1000 level courses will also be accepted in these subjects. Submission of a supplementary information sheet, along with official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions you have attended. Successful completion of the prescribed reading skills test at the required competency level. Evidence of up-to-date and completed immunizations. Evidence of current certification in CPR at the Basic Rescuer Level. |
