The 18-credit Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Counselling (PBDC) program focuses on the fundamentals of counselling psychology, theory, and practice. The Diploma is designed for students who either do not want to complete a full master's degree or who do not meet the admissions criteria for the master's program and plan to apply to ladder into that program upon completion of the Diploma. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. To be admitted to the PBDC program, applicants must have an undergraduate degree with a minimum grade point average of 2.50 in the last 10 full course equivalents, and at least three senior undergraduate or graduate courses in Psychology or Educational Psychology. In particular, applicants must have a course in each Developmental Psychology, Learning Psychology, and Counselling Theories or Personality Theories. |
