The M.Sc. degree is centered on conducting research in the biological sciences. Graduates will be prepared for positions in government, management, industry, education, and consulting or for Ph.D. research. Formal milestones for the programs include regular meetings with the faculty advisory committee, approval of a research proposal, oral presentation of the research, writing of a thesis, and a final defense of the work. Each M.Sc. student is also required to be a teaching assistant for at least one term. |
