The Associate of Arts Degree is a two-year undergraduate degree offered by many institutions in the province of British Columbia and beyond. The Associate Degree program is designed to provide broad-based knowledge and experiences in preparation for entering the workforce, or as a foundation for further undergraduate study. Students within the Associate of Arts Degree program will gain multi-disciplinary knowledge in the faculties of arts, humanities, and social sciences, and develop their critical thinking and research skills. The program provides a comprehensive learning experience that also allows students to customize their coursework in order to focus on an area of personal interest.

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Applicants must have successfully completed Secondary Education (12 years, or equivalent); or have mature student status; or post-secondary transfer. Students entering from Grade 12 must have completed BC ENGL 12 with a minimum grade of B, or equivalent. University Transfer students must have at least 9 transferable post-secondary credits, with a cumulative GPA of 1.50 or higher. University transfer applicants with cumulative GPA’s below 1.50 may be admitted provisionally and BC ENGL 12 with a minimum grade of B , English 099 with a minimum grade of C, or equivalent. |
