This program provides you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the rapidly evolving field of software engineering and development. You will build on your foundational knowledge in computing by studying areas such as discrete and continuous mathematics, physical science, logic, and engineering design principles through to application and development of software systems of all sizes. As a co-op program, course material is augmented with industry and research experience.
This Option is taken as part of a Computer Engineering degree (Co-op only). This degree can be taken as a Co-op (co-operative education) program. Through the Co-op program, you will have the opportunity to complete paid, supervised work terms throughout your degree. Co-op programs are great way to challenge yourself, gain relevant work experience, and make connections to industry before you graduate!

Additional Admission Requirements: | This program does not allow admission directly from high school. Preprofessional Study Time: 1 year. All students in the Qualifying Year in the Faculty of Engineering follow a common curriculum in their first year. At the end of the first year, students choose among the various specialized Engineering programs offered and between the traditional and cooperative education streams.
Students with transferable post-secondary coursework taken outside of the Faculty of Engineering are considered for admission based on GPA and relevant transfer credit. |
