Description:

A career in Business Administration presents a variety of different career tracks, including; finance/accounting, customer service, sales and marketing. Individuals in this role are typically responsible for using common operating systems and software for administrative purposes, analyzing and processing accounting data, establishing marketing plans, or selling products and services to customers.

This program provides a unique overview of business principles, practices and operations. Areas of study include business principles, computer business application software, sales communication skills, manual and computer accounting fundamentals as well as an introduction to payroll procedures. Note: this program is six months long.

Prerequisites:

    A person who has a Secondary V degree or a D.E.P., or has received instruction deemed acceptable by the College and who meets one of the following requirements may be admitted to a program leading to an A.E.C.:
    - The person's studies have been interrupted for at least two consecutive terms or one school year.
    - The person is covered by an agreement entered into by the College and an employer or by a government program.
    - The person has completed at least one year of post-secondary studies spread over a period of one year or more.
