The Medical Office Assistant program is an excellent way to prepare for today’s advanced medical office environment. Students will be equipped with the latest Microsoft Office applications and have the opportunity to earn 2 Microsoft Certifications to prove their proficiency. Students will also learn medical terminology and medical billing. In the OHIP billing classes they will learn the cost codes widely used in healthcare offices throughout Canada. In addition to the 26 week program students may be eligible to participate in a 8 week co-operative work placement to showcase their skills and gain valuable on-the-job experience.
