This program gives you the opportunity to focus on the emerging field of nanotechnology, giving you an introduction to the processes involved in the fabrication of nanoscale integrated circuits and in designing the tools necessary for the mass production of nanoscale systems. Focusing on the study, design, and fabrication of materials less than a micrometre (0.000001 metres) in size, nanotechnology has thousands of potential consumer and industrial applications, ranging from the speed of computers to the quality of drinking water in remote communities. |
Additional Admission Requirements: | This program does not allow admission directly from high school.
Foundational/Qualifying Year: All students in this first year of study follow a common curriculum. At the end of the year, students choose among the various specialized Engineering programs offered and between the traditional and cooperative education streams. We have over 35 streams to choose from. See Bachelor of Science in Engineering - Qualifying Year for admissions requirements from high school.
Transfer Students: Students with transferable post-secondary coursework taken outside of the Faculty of Engineering are considered for admission based on GPA and relevant transfer credit.
