Description:

Get your UBC degree in biology, the study of all aspects of living things and their processes, including plants, animals, and insects, and their relationships to their environment.

Students in our undergraduate program gain an excellent foundation in all fields of biology while learning the practical skills of a working biologist. Learning takes place in the laboratory and in the field.

Honours Admission Requirements:


- Fourth-year standing.


- A minimum overall grade average of 75% over all courses completed.


- Enrolment in BIOL 440 with a research project and research supervisor approved by the department head.


You must be a third-year student enrolled in full-time studies with a cumulative academic average of 70 per cent in order to qualify for co-op.
