The BSc (Hons) Games Computing degree at Lincoln aims to equip graduates with the skills necessary for a technical career within the creative games and entertainment industry, including mobile, social media, and console game development.
The strong conceptual and methodological grounding in both games design and games development makes Lincoln’s Games Computing course distinctive. Students are encouraged to recognize that software engineering is as important as creative design in the success of computer game products, and to explore the role of games as contemporary cultural artefacts. On the course, you can develop software that targets desktop, mobile, and console platforms. The course explores games design and games programming, 3D graphics, mathematics, games engine programming, and other specialist topics such as artificial intelligence and social gaming. You have the opportunity to develop both the technical skills and critical conceptual skills that are much sought after in the video games industry. |
