Studying Environmental Sustainability will prepare you to play a crucial role in protecting the ecosystems and living organisms that make up our environment. You will gain both the scientific expertise and practical experience needed to solve modern sustainability challenges in Canada and around the world. Our program is known for producing environmentally conscious and responsible graduates with excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities. You will be trained to meet the growing demands of interdisciplinary practitioners in the diverse fields of science and sustainability.
A combined degree-diploma program offered in partnership with Georgian College is another option that will allow you to graduate with both an Honours Bachelor of Arts and Science in Environmental Sustainability with Specialization in Ecosystem Management degree and the Environmental Technician diploma offered by Georgian College.

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent high school diploma; Gr. 12 U English and 5 additional Gr. 12 U or M credits (including prerequisite courses). A minimum 70% overall final average (75% for the Lakehead-Georgian partnership program) . Admission averages are calculated using the top 6 Grade 12 U or M courses. Program Specific Prerequisites: English (ENG4U) and 5 additional grade 12 U/M credits
Note: For the HBASc Environmental Sustainability joint program with Georgian College, the Program Specific Prerequisite Courses are: English (ENG4U), 1 from: Advanced Functions (MHF4U), Calculus & Vectors (MCV4U), or Data Management (MDM4U) and 4 additional grade 12 U/M credits. The minimum grade average is 75%.
