Create your own computer games and take them to market. Gain the contacts and expertise to make a unique game and sell it as part of a successful business plan. Learn through practical experience, supporting lectures and workshops. Lecturers have worked for organisations such as Microsoft, Content Master and Headstrong Games. You'll develop the design, technical and business skills needed to develop interactive games for different platforms and devices. You'll develop interactive games for product promotion and demonstration as well as training purposes.
Core topics include graphics, animation, 3D modelling, game play, programming, audio and video, interactive design, psychology, multiplayer and collaborative working and networks. Using industry-standard software (Adobe CC, Autodesk 3DS Max, CryENGINE, UDK and Unity Game Engine), you'll design worlds, levels, characters and plots. Work with consoles, PCs, the web, mobile devices and digital TV. Through our membership of the PlayStation First Academic Programme, you’ll have access to Move.me™ and PlayStation®Mobile(PSM), PlayStation®3 (PS3™) PlayStation®Vita and PlayStation®4 (PS4™). You'll do valuable work experience. Current graduates work for Dyson, Sky, Illuma Studios and Serious Games Institute.
