Dynamic, fast paced and international, the hospitality industry is a thriving business sector offering you plenty of exciting career opportunities. This course is designed to prepare you for an international management career in world-class hotels, country clubs, theme parks, leisure centres, exhibition venues and catering services worldwide. Hospitality Business Management with a Modern Language BA(Hons) focuses not only on international business and the hospitality industry but on studying a language.
Our modern language modules are designed to be as practical as possible and ensure that you will be able to communicate in the language you are studying, which means understanding the culture as well. During your time on the course you’ll have the chance to gain an in-depth understanding of business management. You’ll be taught by lecturers who have experience who’ll help you explore areas of finance, marketing, human resources and operations management alongside hospitality specific options such as venue selection, contracts, health and safety, licensing and public safety. You could also study how to minimise risks, how to get sponsorship and how to fund events. And we’ll look at the technology that companies use in staging and marketing events too.
