Exciting developments in textiles and fabrics are opening up a world of possibilities. Textile Practice (Surface Design) BA/BSc(Hons) gives you the chance to explore the potential, as well as new materials and surfaces, thanks to innovative textile-based thinking.
The course aims to get you thinking creatively and looking into the possibilities that textiles and surface design open up. We’ll look at how digital design, embroidery/stitching or printing/dying could be applied to a range of surfaces, and you will also have the opportunity to try out knitting, weaving and future materials too. This should help you understand how to develop your practical approaches suitably for the interiors or fashion industry.
