The MDRT Correspondence Course provides the theory base for effective job performance as a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician. It is designed for individuals working in a MDR department, but who lack formal theory instruction. This course does not include clinical skills instruction or a practicum, and therefore does not prepare students to gain employment in MDR departments in hospitals in the Lower Mainland (Greater Vancouver area and Fraser Valley). Individuals without previous work experience in MDR Processing Departments should apply for the full-time Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Certificate Program which includes supervised theory and clinical skills training in a MDR Processing Department. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. As Vancouver Community College is a post-secondary institution committed to educating adult learners, applicants should be 18 years of age or older or a graduate of a secondary school. |
