This MSc Healthcare course, and its sister course MSc Healthcare Leadership, aims to prepare health professionals to enhance their own practice or to take on the challenges of healthcare leadership. Both courses are aimed at healthcare practitioners who have registration in their own country or who have considerable experience of healthcare management and leadership. The courses offer the opportunity to explore healthcare practice, healthcare service delivery and to develop knowledge and skills in research methods and service improvement. It is anticipated that students will be drawn from across the world allowing students an opportunity to work collaboratively with other students from different cultures and healthcare systems. Both courses provide opportunities to study contemporary issues in healthcare delivery from either a clinical or a leadership perspective. Providing an exciting mix of theory and practical application through enquiry based learning and workshop materials the courses will allow students to apply theory to practice through table top exercises and simulation.
This course has a September intake and a January intake will also be available from January 2017. The September delivery is 12 months long, while the January delivery will be 20 months long and includes a summer break between June and August, where students might like to experience UK and European travel if they wish. |
