This program enables year III students to become a collaborative theatrical collective, as they develop and mount three separate performances between September and December. They are guided in their performances by special guest directors from the Canadian theatre industry. They are also mentored by theatre industry professionals, however, the students are responsible for every aspect of the performances from producing and marketing to set, costume, lighting design and stage management and right though to fundraising for their next performance.`
Each year, Greater Victoria audiences are treated to theatre performances that reflect the best of performing arts. CCPA’s Year III diploma program means Victoria theatre goers have one last opportunity to see CCPA graduates before they acquire performance contracts or form their own companies and foster the growth of new theatre across the nation. |
