Law with Criminal Justice at Keele combines two closely related areas of study, providing a solid legal foundation for a career within the criminal law arena. Through a carefully crafted curriculum, you will develop the skills and acumen required to enter the legal profession as a solicitor or barrister, working in a criminal law practice, or for a career within the Crown Prosecution Service, Probation, Home Office, Court Service and Police.
Blending core legal modules with specialist criminal justice themes, you will build your knowledge of the major principles of English and EU law, enabling you to develop a clear understanding of how the law operates. You will develop your understanding through both theoretical and practical experience and acquire various skills that will support you throughout your learning and employment prospects. Studying both core and optional modules will allow you to develop skills in legal writing, research and oral presentation skills through extra curricular activities such as mooting that will encourage you to demonstrate your legal knowledge and ability to provide structured arguments, supported by evidence. |
