On this creative course you will study the theoretical aspects of media, critically evaluate content and ideas, as well as develop practical skills through activities such as film making and editing. You will explore media in the context of business, politics and history, and will review and analyse a range of media forms such as social media and the news. You will study media developments over time and apply your learning to consider influential factors such as culture and technology. This will inform your theoretical learning, before analysing key themes and concepts to later apply to your practical work.
You will be equipped with a wide range of skills that will enable you to produce high quality media content, as well as develop effective written and verbal communication, research competency and creative presentation methods. You will also work with others to develop and collaborate on projects, learning how to build good working relationships, that will benefit you when entering employment. |
