At King's, we believe that the knowledge and appreciation that come from the study of literature can be a source of constant delight and culture fulfilment to us throughout our lives. The Department of Modern Languages offers courses in English, French, Italian studies, film, writing, and speech. In French, the first-year courses are designed to develop your ability to read, understand, and speak the language with a facility and confidence sufficient for your immediate academic needs. Courses in the senior years build upon this foundation. Some course titles include: French civilization, translation, literary theory and criticism, and women writers of France and French Canada. |
